Work on the floor system

The Carpenters came back in Sunday to beat the predicted rain this week.

Carpentry Has Begun

On Saturday the carpenters started to assemble the lower level of the building.

March 14 Update

Dave and I were out with Ed Allen and Dan Banko to watch the cement dry. We brought back a clip for Bill who wasn't able to make it.




What we were actually doing was moving the trees that were downed last fall but still in the area. Fortunately for us the NYLT staff had some time and came out to help with the loading.

March 12 Update

Several things were going on this week starting with the delivery of the building parts on March 12 and putting gravel down on the driveway. Below are a couple of the pictures Dave sent out.

Monday's Visit

This morning Steve James and I visited the site. The concrete workers were putting the finishing touches on the foundations walls. Rumor has it that the forms will be filled with concrete on Tuesday starting at 6am. Hopefully tomorrows pictures will show the ready-mix trucks

Saturday's Visit 2-28-09

Chris Steiner, Scoutmaster Troop 166 and the Project Manager for this lodge and I visited the site on Saturday. The footings were poured and the foundation forms were readied to be assembled.

More Progress

I was out at Camp Lowden today with Ed Allen and got these pictures of the framing for the lower level walls. This was around 10:00 am so they should be done and ready for the cement trucks first thing in the morning.
